Has anyone here truly been successful trading foreign currencies. If so, how are you doing it?

Cisco Man asked:

With the stock markets in the dumps it seems there are several opportunities to get into trading foreign currencies. Has anyone on here truly had success trading these and where did you learn how to do it. It seems quite risky and since it is leveraged the downside is high. Thanks.

In hindsight, I wish I had (like many investment decisions). Unfortunately, I’m not sure what opportunities are out there now, being that all of my money is US Dollars.

Leverage means that the downside is high. It also means the upside is high. So, you can’t sit back and wait; you MUST keeps stops in place at all times and review your account a couple of times a day.

Any decent forex operator has online training available. Don’t get fancy. Currency markets can trend for a long time. Just follow the trends for big profits when you are right, and when you are wrong, get out with small losses.

there are lots of ebooks and hardbound books as well to read about forex, however, i would still recommend to learn this trade from a real and human expert forex trader. you may check this site for this option. for a “mini account” of $100, they will provide you a personal Account Service Manager to be your consultant, mentor and trading partner as well. a live, one-on-one discussion over phone, email or chat is a lot better if you really want a detailed learning process. other account you could open in this site are gold, platinum and vip. of course, the higher account you maintain would entitle you to better features and benefits. all the best.

Yes. Find a place that charges the lowest commissions because the commissions eat up the tiny profit. You are always making small amounts of profit. Do not leverage..
