    Currency is money. For example, the currency used in the United States is the dollar.

    Foreign currencies are the currencies in other countries. For example, the currency used in France is the franc.

    Foreign currency trading is the exchange of the currency of one country (for example dollars) for the currency of another country (for example francs).

    People who do foreign currency trading earn money by charging a small amount for doing this service. Sometimes, they also speculate in foreign currencies; for example, they may buy francs, expecting that francs will become more valuable and then selling francs at a profit.
