Foreign Interest Rates and Purchasing power?
westphalia1 asked:
I have a new trading account in a foreign country (USD converted to their local currency). If the national interest (Short term rates) rate in this foreign country is 10.00% does this mean that each US dollar has a purchasing power of 10.00%? To purchase a product (or security) you could multiply your returns on investment (interest rate + exchange rate) by 10? Every US dollar placed within this country would grow exponentially by 10? Thank you.

Currency Exchange Question?
TheRaven asked:
I am a little confused with an aspect of foreign currency trading. Today, for 1 US Dollar you would get roughly .50 cents in British currency and for 1 British Pound, you could get almost 2 Dollars US. Does this mean that if the British were to come here, they would actually be making money? Because when I looked at it from another viewpoint, it seems to me that people don’t really make money, as in the case with the British coming to the US), but that objects are of the same value, just different currency. How does that work?

Currency Trading: is it a viable long term way to make money from home?
Necip C asked:
I went to an introduction to FOREX (foreign exchange) class recently and they were telling us how with a good education in FOREX you can consistently make money, and good money too, since you are trading 50 or 100 times what you have in your trading account. The complete course is $2000 and they were pushy for us to take the class so I didn’t feel so confident about it, but i read up on the subject a bit and did a trial trade for about 30 days, I was up a lot at one point (about $8000) but in the end of the month i pretty muich broke even. WIth more knowledge and a proper education on the subject can it be a long term way of makin money?
DEAR ALL, thanks for your responses, overall you seem to think currency trading is high risk and not really a viable way of making money from home. I should have mentioned in my question that if i were to do it, i would want to rely more on technical analysis and all the ratios and different theorems etc. I would also be making trades that are from about 30 minutes to at most one day. Does this change anyones opinion on the subject?

Has anyone here truly been successful trading foreign currencies. If so, how are you doing it?
Cisco Man asked:
With the stock markets in the dumps it seems there are several opportunities to get into trading foreign currencies. Has anyone on here truly had success trading these and where did you learn how to do it. It seems quite risky and since it is leveraged the downside is high. Thanks.

Can a complete beginner use a forex robot?
dkjc asked:
I have heard of currency trading. A set up a demop account a couple years ago. Of course it was a bunch of gibberish. I didn’t understand anything. But f course I am looking into a way I can be a at home Mom. I would be willing to learn about trading. But some of these robots make it sound like anybody can make money. If that were true, woudn’t everybody be rich? I have heard a lot of good things about FAP Turbo and Forex mega droid. I have also heard that these robots only work if you have been trading for years.
I have tried cash crate, surveys, reading emails, and a bunch other stuff. I don’t like it.

Why trade Forex?
ahefner_33 asked:
Hello. I have been studying for about 6 months the market of currency trading. Trying to tackle the learning curve and different analysis in this specific market. But I start to wonder when I read most articles and forum posts stating that only a few people profit yearly from this trading. If you do not profit, then why do you trade? It does not really make sense to me why someone would play/work such a volatile market not to make profit? Please someone enlighten me with their view on this. Thanks.
